Shotgun microbiome analysis — now in Bulgaria, in Bulgarian
BugSpeaks Bulgaria is the official representative of BugSpeaks for Bulgaria and the Balkans. Our mission is simple: to give everyone in Bulgaria access to the science that explains the role of microbes.
Why we exist
It began with a question that goes unanswered for far too long
What lives in my gut? Why does the same food work differently for different people? How do I eat for my own body rather than by general advice?
Many of the answers run through the microbiome. The trillions of bacteria in the gut take part in digestion, in the production of vitamins and in the link with the brain. Every person carries a different set of them — which is why general nutrition advice does not fit everyone equally.
So we created BugSpeaks Bulgaria — so that you can get to know your microbiome in Bulgarian.
The science behind us
International science. Bulgarian language
The test is developed by Leucine Rich Bio — a microbiome company from India. The analysis is performed in the Leucine Rich Bio laboratory in India. The technology is shotgun metagenomic sequencing: it reads all the DNA in the sample, not just fragments. We bring it to Bulgaria entirely in Bulgarian — a report, a platform and support that anyone can understand.

The approach — a nutrition plan based on the microbiome — was clinically tested in a pilot study by Leucine Rich Bio with 30 participants (PeerJ, 2024), funded by the company.

We never invent data. We check every claim on the site against the report and the published science.
In plain Bulgarian
Microbiome science is complex. Our job is to make it understandable — no jargon and no word-for-word translation of an English-language report.
Your data is yours
Your account and report are stored encrypted in the EU (Frankfurt). The laboratory in India receives the sample and the data for the analysis under the test code only — without your name or contact details — and keeps the raw data for up to 2 years. We do not sell data or use it for advertising. You can delete it at any time.
Science, not promises
We don't sell miracles. We give you data and a plan to feed your microbes better.
